Meet The Wyld Cookery School Team
A team of passionate, expert cooks who believe anyone can make good food without fuss.
Fran Wyld leads our teaching team. Before setting up The Wyld Cookery School, Fran was at The Avenue where she taught all classes. Trained at Leiths School of Food & Wine, Fran gained a first class diploma with honours in advanced WSET (wine exams). As passionate about cooking on a budget as the taste of the end result, she has worked on recipe development for British supermarkets, run a catering business and provided consultancy to a number of event companies.
When not in the kitchen, Fran is happiest on the slopes. Having spent numerous years as a chef to some of the leading luxury chalet companies as well as working on Super Yachts in the Mediterranean, she knows a thing or two about training seasonaires. Fran has created a specialist crash course at The Wyld Cookery School specifically for this and is about to publish her first recipe book.
Sandi Bloomfield runs the office for The Wyld Cookery School. Having worked in the city, Sandi knows all about the challenges of flipping a dinner party with minutes to spare and along with Fran and Jo has helped shape the courses on offer. Sandi is mother to two boys and has worked hard to teach them the life skills and specifically cooking techniques to stay healthy at university and impress their mates; no mean feat. Sandi also manages the Duke of Edinburgh programme at the School and arranges residential accommodation for the courses.
Jo Giddins is responsible for promoting The Wyld Cookery School. Teacher, chartered accountant & mother to three children, Jo is an absolute pro at multi-tasking. Jo helps drive the growth of the Wyld Cookery School and when not managing the numbers is involved in developing the courses, recipe books and event planning for the Wyld Catering team.
Emma White joined the team in 2016. A passionate, personable chef with a wide range of experience from working on luxury yachts and for private clients over the last 7 years including two ski seasons servicing some of the finest private chalets in the Alps. Committed to delivering the highest quality food for all occasions, with a reputation for creating healthy, nutritious meals using fresh, locally sourced produce within any budget
large or small. Emma was trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland and at Orchards in Worcester. Emma moved to London last year and is delighted to be rejoining Fran with whom she worked in the Chalets in France.
Clemmie Hadden-Paton is a private chef and food/mental health blogger who has been working in the food industry since 15. Her cooking career has taken her all over the world - India, Dubai, Burma, Vietnam, Uganda, Thailand and Hong Kong to name a few. She is Leiths trained as well as more recently Ballymaloe trained. Clemmie cooks a wide range of cuisines though Asian is where her heart lies. She has recently started a business in helping mental health sufferers use cooking as a coping mechanism and trying to show people that cooking can be fun and not a chore. Though she hasn't worked in a ski chalet, Clemmie worked in private Chef recruitment for a year and a half and provided Chefs to all the top end ski companies and yachts. Clemmie is happiest when she is in the kitchen and can often be found wandering around Brixton giving food to the homeless.
Roz Kennedy joined our teaching team, but focusses now on Wyld Catering . Roz and Fran regularly do private catering events for Wyld Catering. Roz can throw her hand to anything in the kitchen and has a huge variety of interesting work up her sleeve. Post university she worked in PR before making the very sensible switch to all things foodie! Since then she has worked for a top ski company and has even spent a year catering in Australia learning the tricks of the trade down under!
